In this episode, we are joined by several members of the Halton early learning community to explore and reflect on the book A Can of Worms. Fearless Conversations with Toddlers by Nick Torrenes. This book compassionately explores many topics such as race, gender identity, relationship building, outdated practices as well as  how to lean into uncertainty.

In this episode, we explore the article "Developing Teachers' Confidence" by Christy Jones-Hudson that details the practical steps and strategies to develop the confidence of educators in working with children with disabilities and extra support needs. We reflect on our own experiences in our careers, and what helped us to build confidence and to see the strengths and competence of all children.

In this week's episode, we continue diving into the world of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging by exploring Gender Identity with Jenn Lee, a non-binary RECE in Halton. Jenn shares their experiences of discovering their gender identity and supporting young children to understand and accept all identities in the early years.

In this episode, Minhaz Minhas shares her passion for the Montessori philosophy and we discuss what an authentic Montessori environment looks, sounds and feels like for children. Minhaz also shares some of the myths and misconceptions around Montessori education.
